The Mets Added a Couple of Relievers that the Phillies Kind of Stink Against

The Mets added Tyler Rogers and Ryan Helsley after trading for Gregory Soto earlier in the week:
It feels like an overpay for Rogers, with San Francisco getting Jose Butto, Blade Tidwell, and Drew Gilbert in return. Three players for a rental reliever. They sent Jesus Baez, Nate Dohm, and Frank Elissalt to St. Louis for Helsley, who is also a rental, so they weren’t afraid to get aggressive in pursuit of short-term bullpen help.
Seems like a bit of a LOLMets moment going on here, but should the Phils or another top NL team run into New York this postseason, know that they kind of stink against both Rogers and Helsley:
There are seven remaining regular season games against the Mets, three on the road and four at home. New York recently won seven games in a row, then immediately got swept by the Padres, so they go in ebbs and flows like the Phillies do. One week, they look like a World Series contender, then the next week they look like the Bad News Bears. At some point, somebody has to grab control of the NL East and run with it. Grab the bull by the horns. We’re talking about two of the highest payroll teams in all of Major League Baseball.
