Nothing to see here, just Queens of the Stone Age blending in with the Philly crowd during Game 2 of the NLDS:

Left to right, that’s Jon Theodore, Mike Shuman, Troy Van Leeuwen, and then Dean Fertita. I don’t see singer Josh Homme there, but maybe he was in the bathroom after attempting the 9-9-9 hot dog and beer challenge.

H/T to reader Tom for spotting the band in the crowd. I could be wrong, but I don’t think the broadcast mentioned it. Reader Tom did note that the organ player did a bunch of QOTSA tunes, so they definitely got word that the guys were in the house.

QOTSA is currently on a North American tour and had the day off after playing in Toronto, so they came down to Citizens Bank Park to watch that shit show live and in person. Or, maybe they’re Dodgers fans? Several of the guys are from the LA area, so it’s possible they were the enemy on this particular night. A cursory Googling doesn’t reveal a smoking gun, but if I had to guess, they were supporting the visitors on this particular evening. Whatever the case, there’s no way they ever become more annoying than the stupid drummer from Jimmy Eat World, who is an insufferable Arizona Diamondbacks fan.

btw, QOTSA formed from the ashes of one of the great underrated bands of our era, Kyuss:
