That was… cooler than I thought it was gonna be? You’re going into this thinking that it might be an anticlimactic way to end a game, but even though it only took 16 seconds, there was a pretty sick buildup. It started with J.T. Realmuto and Andrew Painter both signaling for the review. They knew it was a strike. Painter hopped off the mound. I think Braves fans knew it was a strike also, because you could hear a muted type of grumbling coming from the crowd. Then when the ump announced the challenge, the home fans got silent, waiting for the inevitable. Then the video comes in and Realmuto yells “let’s go!” He gives Painter a sports-type of guy hug with a high five. Then he pats him on the head and gives him a tap on the butt.
Hell yeah brother! Fightin’ Phillies! Game three on Thursday! WHEELS UP!
