The hottest ticket in town is at Citizens Bank Park. These crowd shots are insane for a 1 p.m. game on a Thursday in May:

Being the best team in baseball and the fact that they score a million runs a game helps. But still this is really impressive. Even on “Weather Day” the crowd of 42,000 were able to drown out the high pitched screaming of children on the broadcast.
All I know is this team better win the fucking World Series or this fanbase might tear down City Hall. I don’t think I’ve seen a town fall in love with a team like this one, this quick. You can’t go anywhere in the city without seeing a hundred different people rocking Phillies gear. Everyone loves this team. We don’t know what to do with ourselves. Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop when you should just be enjoying it. We’re in this position so rarely there should be no other choice than react with over-the-top adoration for this team. They’re so good WIP’s programming is all Phillies on a Friday. If you ever wondered what you have to do to stop them from shoving the Eagles down your throat, the answer is be the best team in franchise history and maybe all-time. That’s the kind of historic run the Phils are on right now.
This was a random Tuesday in May. Imagine what it’s going to be like during Red October:
