The Phillies Have Traded for Clay Buchholz

According to multiple reports, including Jon Heyman and Matt Gelb, the Phillies have traded for Red Sox RHP Clay Buchholz. In return the Phillies have sent minor league second-baseman Josh Tobias to Boston.
Buchholz is known for perhaps the highest-high and lowest-low you can accomplish as a pitcher. In his second career start in 2007, he threw a no-hitter, becoming only the third pitcher since 1900 to do so in their first or second MLB start. Last year, he started a game against the Anaheim Angels that resulted in the Sox’s worst loss since 2000, a 21-2 slaughter.
While bouncing back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen last year, Buchholz worked himself to a 8-10 record with a 4.78 ERA.
