The Phillies Own the Los Angeles Dodgers

Dodgers fans are doing everything they can to manage their emotions after the Phillies just gave their All-World team its first series loss of the year. This guy Chaddderall is talking about best record in baseball and their Monday visit to the White House as a coping mechanism. The funny part is they’ve played two more games than every other team and don’t even have the least amount of losses in their own division. Don’t let the facts get in front of a narrative:
@chaddderall The Dodgers are 9-2 & heading to The White House Mon Apr 7 to celebrate their 2024 Championship with POTUS. We’re fine. #Dodgers #phillies #mlb #baseball #champs #worldseries
This makes me smile! Look at the fans of the big bad Dodgers having to bring up shit from last year because the Phillies beat up on their superteam. Last time I checked we’re in a totally different season. You had one less hit than Shohei Ohtani did this series. That guy steps into CBP and becomes a utility player. Tyler Glasnow couldn’t find the zone because his cleats were a little muddy. Trea Turner scrambled Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s brain early on Friday. The Dodgers showed their fans they don’t have the stones to play in Philly when it’s cold and damp. What do they think it’s going to be like in October? The pennant runs through Philly until further notice and you can’t convince me otherwise. That felt like October baseball. Back and forth slugfest, both bullpens being taken to the limit, electric crowd, and players from both sides having big time moments. If you don’t believe in this Phillies team yet you’re the most miserable human that has ever existed.
And this wasn’t just a random series win. No, the Phillies have owned the Dodgers for years ever since Stairs ripped one into the night:
Phillies have won 4 straight series vs the Dodgers. The Phillies are the first team to win four straight series against the Dodgers, outside of the NL West, in 9 years. The Phillies have won 9 of 12 vs the Dodgers. They may have to do it in the playoffs. https://t.co/okTiSuV0cg

This needs to be the NLCS matchup. Seven games of this would do numbers. Imagine the J.T. Realmuto strike him out/throw him out in the middle of October on primetime. They’d replay that for centuries. Instead it’s just an April series in a long season, but a season in which the Phillies have shown up early. That’s 3-0 in series this year. The team looks locked in. They’re live dog darlings. If my research is right, the other team has scored first in six of their nine games so far and the Phils have come back to win five of those. We’re going to be RICH off the live line this season!
