This Old-School Video of Mini-KISS Playing at Citizens Bank Park is Amazing

I don’t know what this says about my TikTok algorithm, but an amazing video of Mini-KISS performing Strutter and playing with unplugged guitars in Ashburn Alley popped up on my FYP today:
@popdetritus Mini KISS performing Strutter ! #miniKISS #kiss #strutter #minipaul #minigene #mini
When did this happen? How many people showed up? Did the Phillies employee who booked Mini-KISS get an immediate raise? Were tickets half off? Zing!
I looked into this more and even though the graininess of the video makes it look like it might be closer to when the ballpark opened, it actually was only back in 2016. June 3rd, 2016 to be exact. It was 70s Night at the ballpark. The Pete Mackanin-led Phillies (26-28) played the Milwaukee Brewers (25-29), so the Phils needed to find a way to get some asses in seats. Vince Velasquez faced off against Jimmy Nelson. Ryan Howard pinch-hit. Andrew Bailey was the winning pitcher, Hector Neris got the hold and the great Andres Blanco had three RBIs in a 6-3 Phillies win that lasted 3+ hours. What a walk down memory lane.
Listen I’m not saying the Phillies need to bring back Mini-KISS this season for a World Series good luck charm. But I am saying remember what happened when the Red Sox let Mini-Pedro get on board:
This guy and Ranger Suarez have oddly similar shaped heads:
There’s a longer version of performances from that night on YouTube:

Fun fact: Mini-KISS is the Guinness World Record holders for shortest band in the world. They even still tour.
Kinkead: I know the instruments are unplugged but there are three guitars up there and no bass guitars
