A quick check of the National League East standings shows the New York Mets in last place with a 9-14 record and .391 winning percentage. The Marlins, go figure, are first place with a 9-6 record, unbalanced due to the COVID nonsense of a few weeks ago.

Fresh off a Mets sweep, Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler found himself on the back page of the New York Daily News, as the scribes there understandably needled and poked the stinky baseball team:

“Zack Wheeler sets down his former teammates and outduels Rick Porcello as Phillies complete sweep of last-place Mets Sunday in Philadelphia.”

Ah yes. Inject that into our veins.
