Come on, man:

Julius Irving? Never heard of him. But I do know Julius Erving. “Dr. J.” He rocked the baby to sleep with a slam dunk and played on the 1983 Sixers team that almost went “Fo Fo Fo” with Moses Malone. Best Philadelphia sports team of all time, depending on how you feel about the 2024 Eagles.

But yes, this is an abomination. Is this a Mount Rushmore? It looks like the AI made a Mount Rushmore. But it just carved the names into the mountain instead of putting faces on there. And Jeffrey Lurie shouldn’t be on it. How did Jeffrey Lurie “rep” Philly? He’s a great owner but he’s from Boston and tried to buy the Patriots before he bought the Eagles. It’s kind of a goofy connection.

Anyway –

Nothing wrong with AI so long as it’s not obnoxious. The performative anti-AI blathering is almost as bad as really sloppy AI. It’s kind of like an AI horseshoe theory where the two sides of the spectrum come close to touching one another. And both sides are really annoying, like political partisans. AI isn’t going anywhere at all, so get used to it.

But in this particular case, straight to the gulag for the Fanatic employee who made this monstrosity. Put them on a performance improvement plan and move them into storage closet B, where Howie Roseman had to work during the Chip Kelly era.
