There are multiple reports that Moses Malone has died. Howard Eskin reports that he was found in his bed this morning following an appearance in Virginia, presumably last night.

Malone, one the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players, was a Hall of Famer and played with the Sixers from 1982 to 1986, and again in the 1993-1994 season. He was the literal centerpiece on the 1983 championship team, winning Finals MVP. He was the first high schooler to go pro.

His passing comes on the heels of the death of another Sixers legend, Chocolate Thunder, Darryl Dawkins, just last month.

Malone was 60.
