Doc Rivers was asked an impossible question. Who was more frustrating – James Harden or Ben Simmons? The unstoppable force vs. the immovable object. But he gave a pretty insightful answer:

It confirmed everything we thought about Ben Simmons. That guy hates basketball. He never worked on his game. He cared more about his image than being one of the greatest point guards of all time.

Say what you want about Doc the coach, but I think Doc the media guy is going to be awesome. I love this transparency. Imagine the stories he has from his playing days and the guys he’s coached. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Tracy McGrady, Kawhi, Paul George, Embiid, Rajon Rondo. A bunch of different personalities and it doesn’t look like he’s scared to give behind the scenes details. I can’t wait til we peel back Doc’s time in Philly like an onion as the season progresses.
