Danny Green explained it on the latest episode of his Inside the Green Room podcast, courtesy of Sirius XM and NBC Sports Philadelphia:

Seems plausible. Maybe he thought R.J. Barrett was gonna hover there for a moment, before he ultimately backed off. Danny is right that those things sometimes look worse on television, because from our angle that’s nothing at all, but he’s gotta view it straight-on.

It’s all good. Case closed. All Green has to do is go out and hit a couple of catch-and-shoot threes and play some defense tonight and the Sixers will obliterate the Knicks again, God willing. James Harden’s home debut. Let’s go baby.
