Danuel House Traded to the Pistons

The Danuel House era has come to an end:
The 76ers are trading Danuel House and a 2024 second-round pick via the Knicks to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN.

We’ll always have House’s Game 5 performance in Boston. 10 points on 5-7 shooting and a comprehensive Sixers win.
Sending House and a pick to Detroit without absorbing salary in return creates a TPE, or traded player exception. They’ve got some wiggle room under the luxury tax to enter the buyout market, possibly to pursue Kyle Lowry. House had a $4.3 million cap hit this year after exercising his player option, and is set to become a free agent at the end of the season. A lot of what you’re seeing with this early deadline aggression is the Sixers working these expiring contracts into something more beneficial. Furkan Korkmaz, Marcus Morris, and House were all on expiring deals. All three are gone before noon. Robert Covington, Tobias Harris, Nic Batum, De’Anthony Melton, Kelly Oubre, Mo Bamba, Pat Bev, and KJ Martin are also on expiring contracts. It’s the whole team! Except for Embiid, Maxey, and Paul Reed.
