Herb Magee is wrapping up his legendary local coaching career, and on Wednesday night Ben Simmons caught a random diss:

“Obviously Ben is the type of guy who doesn’t really want to improve.”

If you’re keeping track, Simmons has now been dunked on by Jim Gardner, Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz, Herb Magee, the entirety of NBA fandom, and everybody in the Delaware Valley and up into Lehigh and Carbon Counties. He has been spared by nobody.

Magee worked with Charles Barkley and Jameer Nelson and other pros back in the day. He’s been coaching Jefferson/Philadelphia/Philadelphia Textile since 1967, so the guy has seen some shit. No doubt he’d have been able to work with Ben on his mechanics and whatever, but Ben doesn’t want that anyway. Herb is right. Ben is insulated and he himself is the only one who can take the next step, with his people, on his own timeline, or not at all. Not our problem now.
