If This is What the Sixers’ “Iverson Era” Court Looks Like I’m Going to Need Some Basketball Comets Added

Someone was able to get a couple snapshots of the crew at the new Xfinity Mobile Arena putting the “Iverson Era” court together and it looks awesome:
Hopefully the Sixers play like that early-2000s team. Sure, Joel Embiid might never step foot on it, but at least we have this for nostalgia sake.
The court is a little different than the one from 25 years ago. The key being black instead of blue is one of the changes. Here’s the court from the FU Center for the 2001 Finals:

The most important question I have is will there be basketball comets? I need basketball shooting stars to appear on this court. I appreciate them bringing this back, and the jerseys are going to look sick, but I would like basketballs looking like they’re being launched from space into the atmosphere. That’s all I ask. I think the all-black paint looks sick. I love that they went with the same baseline typography and the old school 76 logo in the corners and at halfcourt. I won’t be asking for much this season because I don’t expect much. I just ask for basketball comets. I want Neil deGrasse Tyson to see those comets and think he’s in the cosmos. I want to feel like I’m in second grade again and the Sixers have an NBA Finals caliber team and I’m back at the Franklin Institute’s planetarium. Pulling up from the comets should count as four points. If they don’t give us basketball comets can we at least get a celebrity appearance?
Flips and dunks over a guy riding a Harley on the court. We used to be a proper country.
