J.J. Redick Is Now a Sixer!

Hell of deal!
Don’t look at the money– the Sixers have more cap space than they know what to do with next season. Getting Redick on a one-year deal is pretty much the best case scenario for the Sixers to put a competitive team on the court, help space the floor for the young guys, and give the team some much needed shooting. It will also give them the flexibility to go gangbusters next offseason in free agency, or, if all goes well, extend Redick on a smaller deal:

Obviously Redick didn’t have many great offers and the market for him was less than expected, but still, like this:

Now, as a college basketball fan, I shall begin to come to grips with rooting for J.J. Redick.
