Man of Action Bryan Colangelo, who has sharply pressed collars and a falcon-like gaze, wasn’t able to trade Jahlil Okafor over the past few days, which means Okafor will play tonight in Boston, this after not traveling with the team to Charlotte for their game on Monday night because it was believed he would be traded. Gonzo?

And from 6 ABC:

Jahlil Okafor is back! Maybe?

A Philadelphia 76ers source confirmed to Action News late Tuesday night Okafor has rejoined the team in Boston and will be in uniform Wednesday night against the Celtics.

Head coach Brett Brown had said earlier this week that playing him in the middle of all these trade talks would complicate things.

Why, why can’t the Sixers do anything right? I’m not sure I can recall a situation* where a team essentially admitted to trading a player by banishing him from the team plane – blowing their leverage in the process – and then welcomed him back just two days later, after he said his goodbyes to players and staff. Like how do you let that happen? How do you continue to embarrass yourself at every turn? If the Sixers on the court weren’t so damn likable and entertaining, we’d be at about a 9 right now on the mutiny scale– heave-ho, Colangelo! No one does anything right. Bad communication, fan-hostile business decisions, poorly executed trade negotiations, etc. Even if Colangelo gets something done over the next week before the NBA trade deadline, that won’t change the fact that this has now turned into a clusterfuck.

*Maybe when the Mets almost traded Wilmer Flores and he cried on the field?
