News from the Sixers:

Was it the 2.5 lb curls?

This sucks for McCain after suffering a torn lateral meniscus last season. If you’re looking for some good news CJ McCollum played the final three months of the 2023 season through a UCL tear, but mentioned how much it bothered him. Anfernee Simons on the other hand was out 4-6 weeks due to the injury. Now obviously all UCL tears aren’t created equal, but if it’s anything like Simons’ we won’t see McCain until Halloween. Hopefully he’ll only miss a couple weeks of the season. Just gotta wonder how being sidelined while the Sixers gear up for practice will effect him when he’s finally healthy again. Can’t imagine it’s easy to get your NBA legs under you for at least a couple weeks after you return from injury.

Thank god we have the Eagles and Phillies right now. The black hole that is the Sixers can’t hurt us currently, but I’m starting to think the Xfinity Mobile Arena is just built on an ancient Indian burial ground. There’s no way an organization should have to deal with this many injuries to young players in the last decade. It’s almost impossible to miss the amount of games players for the Sixers have in their first two years in the NBA. Happy Media Day Eve! I’m going to watch highlights from the game on Sunday to take my mind off of this. Oh, there they are!
