I say this without hyperbole or even the slightest hint of exaggeration: If the NBA doesn’t launch a kids cartoon where Sixers stars travel the country taking on groups of mouthy kids in playground hoops, swatting them but also learning about their communities, cultures and one emotional weakness that can only be overcome through on-court metaphor, then they are doing something very, very wrong. Hell, I’ll write it. Have you seen some of the shit kids watch? Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons taking part in kid-friendly hoops summits would be instantly more watchable than Peppa Pig before pencil was even laid to paper. How is this not a thing already?

Side note: Joel Embiid just randomly showing up on the courts next to Pat’s and Geno’s and then posting video of it on Instagram is so perfect that I’ve already fully prepared myself for the inevitable #branded tie-in that accompanied it.
