The Sixers’ statement is: “Joel Embiid will have a corrective procedure this week to address an injury to the lateral meniscus in his left knee. An update will be provided following the procedure.”
That’s pretty much it. We’ve been here so many times before that there’s nothing else to say. Hopefully they get him back healthy in time for the playoffs, and Tyrese Maxey and everyone else can keep the team afloat until then. The other option is for Daryl Morey to punt the season and ship off some of these guys on expiring contracts to accrue some assets. Not sure how that would be received.
