Joel Embiid suspended three games by the NBA:

Three games means Embiid won’t play against the Clippers, Lakers, or at home against Charlotte on November 10th. Assuming he’s ready to go physically, the soonest he can make his 2024 debut will be Tuesday, November 12th, against the Knicks. That would mean he’d miss the first nine games of this season, which amounts to about 11% of the year. I shared my thoughts on the situation in a Monday column titled Shove of the Century: Some Thoughts on the Marcus Hayes vs. Joel Embiid Incident that the Inquirer is Taking ‘Very Seriously’.
