Royce White, who had a sip of coffee with the Process Sixers, won Minnesota’s Republican Senate primary:

The Huff Post is getting dragged for calling White “a former NBA star,” and the dragging is warranted considering he played three NBA games in which he scored zero points. If you’re a basketball sicko, you may recall that White was a good player at Iowa State, got drafted by the Rockets in 2012, then was traded to the Sixers for future draft considerations. He played five preseason games in 2013 but was released three months after the trade along with Vander Blue, Mac Koshwal, and Khalif Wyatt. White had an anxiety issue and fear of flying and his NBA career never got off the ground. He did find some success later in the Canadian league.

As for politics, apparently he’s a MAGA guy now. Going up against Amy Klobuchar in the general election. Would be a huge upset if he could take her out. In basketball terms, it would be like the 2015 Sixers winning 20 games instead of 10. Totally unexpected.
