Let’s All Laugh at Lakers Fans Before the Sixers Do Something Stupid

It’s 12:00 a.m. The minute hand is inching closer and closer to 12:01. Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak sits alone in his office, his eyes never breaking from the ticking on the wall. Three. Two. One. 12:01. “Get me Mozgov,” yells Kupchak. In the other room, a lone quiet voice responds: “The fuck?”
As soon as the league year was official early this morning, the Lakers almost immediately offered Timofey Mozgov a 4-year/$65 million contract. On HoopsHype’s list of the top FA centers, Mozgov was 12th. That’s the first guy they called. Lakers fans, predictably, were confused:
