Let’s Give the People What They Want, Which is Ben Simmons Instagram Shooting Videos

Alright, that’s enough with the Tyrone Johnson story for now.
Let’s get it back to things that really matter, like Ben Simmons knocking down threes in an empty gym. It’s a tradition unlike any other:

Blah blah blah, we see this every summer.
On a somewhat serious note, the form appears to be fine here. It looked perfectly fine when he knocked down a couple of threes at the beginning of last season. To me, it’s never been about the mechanics, even if they looked wonky earlier in his career. But I think we’ve reached a point where his shot does not need to be completely “rebuilt.” It’s a mental thing, not a form thing.
And honestly, he doesn’t even need to become a three-point shooter. He doesn’t have to take 4.1 threes per 36 minutes. He just needs to open up his game to the point where he can be a half-court, fourth-quarter contributor, as opposed to a dunker spot bystander. He’s already an elite defender and passer and needs to expand his offensive game in year number five.
The time is now.
