No Joel Embiid or Paul George for the Sixers Opener, but Here’s the Hype Video

Credit to the person(s) who made this video, because hype vids take time and effort, but without Joel Embiid and Paul George on the floor in South Philadelphia on Wednesday night, this moves my interest level from a 1.6 to a 2.2 at best:

Man, that Dr. J dunk over Michael Cooper never gets old. NEVER. I could watch that on repeat over and over and over again. “It’s gonna be stolen by the doctor, yes he’s got it, here he comes, ROCKS THE BABY TO SLEEP and slam dunk. And the doctor made a sensational play.”
Some things to look forward to despite Embiid and PG missing out:
- Tyrese Maxey, always
- Doc Rivers shuffling around, looking clueless
- Andre Drummond being a monster on the glass and hoisting three pointers
- Kelly Oubre Jr. calling the refs bitches
- Guerschon Yabusele hopefully giving the Sixers something new at the 4
- Jared McCain’s next TikTok
- Reggie Jackson and his rec specs
- Eric Gordon and Kyle Lowry representing all of the people in their mid to late 30s
- watching a competent coach man the Sixers’ sidelines
Dunno man, I’m just not feeling it. Are you? We’ve arrived at the season opener without two of three stars, and while the Paul George thing isn’t a big deal, the Joel Embiid bullshit has already begun. How many games do you think Maxey, Embiid, and PG play together this year? 15? 20? 25? We’ll set the lines a little later at the Crossing Broad sportsbook.
