Unfortunately, the Knicks are up 2-0 on the Pacers and now there’s this:

The Myles Turner moving screen from Game 1 was egregious, a total joke in the game’s biggest moment. At that point we all shared the Adam Silver meme and declared that the fix was in.

Not sure about you, but in Game 2 I watched the Pacers get throttled in the third quarter and turn a 10 point lead into an eight-point deficit. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby missed extended periods of time, the Knicks were already down Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and Bojan Bogdanovic, and yet Indy still allowed 130 points in a playoff game and had no answer for Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart. Even Isaiah HartenSCHTEIN went for 14/12/8 while shooting 5-7 from the floor. Tyrese Haliburton had 34, sure, but he’s just not that guy yet. He’s gotta be firing away. He’s the #1 option on that team and it’s time to take the next step if he’s gonna be a legit star. Guy should be shooting 25 shots a game. And maybe if Rick Carlisle is going to double Brunson, then blitz the pick and roll or time it better. You can’t throw an extra body at midcourt or else New York is gonna have a ton of space to work with, then inevitable get a wide-open corner three or something similar.

Unfortunately, the Pacers are doing us no favors. They could be frauds. It may come down to the Celtics dismantling the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, which would… put Boston in the Finals. At that point, I’m ordering my knock off Timberwolves jersey and pulling hard for Minnesota. Knicks vs. Celtics is like picking between Hamas and Hezbollah. If New York makes a conference final before the Sixers, then this franchise is forever hexed. Burn it to the ground and start over.
