One of the teams reportedly interested in Ben Simmons is the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Patrick Beverly was recently traded there.

He quote tweeted this from NBA reporter Ben Stinar:

Simmons, Russell, KAT, Pat Bev, and Anthony Edwards? Man, what a team!

Problem is, when you trade for a player, you have to give up others in return. So, no, you wouldn’t be adding Ben Simmons to that current group.

Plus, any deal involving the Wolves would have to involve a third team, because Minnesota just doesn’t have what the Sixers are looking for. You’re not adding KAT when you have Embiid. Russell isn’t the guy. Anthony Edwards has a ton of potential and Malik Beasley is a nice piece, but those aren’t guys who put you into NBA Finals/win now mode. Damian Lillard gets you over the hump. A couple of Minnesota guys does not.

Plus, Ben Simmons just bought a 17 million dollar house in California. I am 99.9999999% sure he does not want to play in Minnesota in the winter. If I’m wrong, and he does want to play in Minnesota, I’ll do a backflip off the Mall of America’s front entrance.
