About 20 minutes ago, it was announced that Brett Brown and Sam Hinkie will hold a press conference at 5 p.m. today, but before people could even begin to panic about it, a WOJ BOMB reported that Brown has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Sixers.

During this week’s first press conference, announcing the hiring of Jerry Colangelo, Josh Harris said they were “deep” in contract talks with Brown, and it looks like that got taken care of pretty quickly. My guess is Harris wanted to get it out of the way before he starts his own sports league in Europe or something. We’ll update this with financial information when it becomes known.
