WOJBOMB of the WORST KIND.
So here’s the report:
- The Dallas Mavericks will get:
- Nerlens Noel
- The Sixers get:
- Andrew Bogut (salary dump, likely to be cut)
- Justin Anderson
- A first round pick (reportedly protected top-18 in this year’s draft)
Let’s take the pick first. No way that conveys this year, so we’ll have to see how the future conveyance is laid out. Anderson is a 23-year-old swingman who was picked with the 21st pick in the 2015 draft. He’s shooting 30% from long distance this year and putting up 6.5 points and 3 rebounds in limited minutes.
There is a chance the Sixers felt compelled to move Noel for something because they didn’t wanna match his money in the off-season (he’s a restricted free agent), so they get Bogut’s dumped salary, Anderson and a heavily protected first. This is not a great return.
UPDATE: Bogut is back on the move.
Philly likely re-routing Andrew Bogut, just acquired from Dallas w/Justin Anderson & pick for Nerlens Noel. Boston possibility, per source.

UPDATE 2: What does this mean for an Okafor deal? Woj has some bad news for you:
Trading Noel, 22, likely means the 76ers will retain Jahlil Okafor to play alongside cornerstone Joel Embiid.
Things are going poorly.
UPDATE 3: THINGS GOT WORSE!
Sources: If Sixers do not receive Mavs top-18 protected pick this season, it converts to 2 2nd-round picks: Mavs 2nds in 2017 and 2018.
