Shaq is Still Unimpressed

Shaquille O’Neal is many things. High energy isn’t one of them. SO when Charles Barkley started to rave about being impressed by how the Sixers have played, Shaq did his best version of someone who is shocked: He mumbled “no.” He could barely even muster a sarcastic golf clap from behind his transition lenses.

Shaq is quickly positioning himself as the number one Sixers hater on TV. Part of that, I’m sure, is to antagonize Charles (who called Jerryd Bayless a good addition to the Sixers when Bayless has played two games). But part of it is that Shaq is just a curmudgeon who can’t give credit to young big men, because they’re not Shaq. Boogie Cousins is the one exception since Shaq is a part owner of the Kings and, well, the Sixers beat the Kings last night to increase their pick swap odds. It’s all starting to make sense for the Big Goof.
