Quick break here for a positive story.

The Sixers and NovaCare distributed 10,000 co-branded masks to communities in need in both Philadelphia and South Jersey. The Sixers Youth Foundation identified the following areas to send the masks:

  1. Philabundance
  2. Food Corps
  3. Cathedral Kitchen
  4. Playworks
  5. Salvation Army Kroc Center
  6. LUCY Outreach
  7. Camden County School District
  8. KIPP Schools
  9. Camden Health & Athletic Association
  10. Food Bank of SJ
  11. Camden County Department of Human Services

A Forbes article quotes CMO Katie O’Reilly:

“These are communities in need that really don’t have easy access to masks,” said Katie O’Reilly, the Sixers’ Chief Marketing Officer. “Our foundation spends the bulk of its work in the city of Philadelphia and Camden, so they have a great understanding of that. We wanted to help, and obviously so did NovaCare.”
