Sixers Injury Update: It’s the Whole Team

Admittedly, we didn’t write anything about either Sixers/Bucks game because both were a joke. Joel Embiid played the first one on the second night of a back-to-back, without Ben Simmons. Then Saturday night, Embiid was a late scratch, Simmons was out again with illness, and the Bucks blew their doors off.
It was another batch of regular season NBA bullshit, presented on a platter from the league’s intrepid schedule makers.
The Sixers should get back on track tonight and snap their four-game skid against the Thunder, who are openly tanking but won’t be disciplined by Adam Silver. The Thunder have lost 16 of 17 and would normally be an easy win, however, here’s the Sixers’ injury report via the 1:30 p.m. update:
- Embiid – questionable (right shoulder soreness)
- Simmons – questionable (illness)
- Tobias Harris – questionable (right knee)
- Danny Green – questionable (left hip)
- Furkan Korkmaz – questionable (right ankle sprain)
- Paul Reed – questionable (health and safety protocol)
And then OKC will be missing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, Mike Muscala, OUTRIGHT! Tony Bradley is questionable with an ankle sprain.
It’s the Sixers, so we’ll probably find out if these guys are playing 7 minutes before tip off, but this one tonight looks to be another joke on the schedule. The good thing is that the back-end is really easy, and after tonight they play two against Atlanta at home before embarking on a San Antonio/Chicago/Houston road trip. There’s enough gimmes in there to take the #1 seed, if they can get healthy.
Should be an instant classic tonight.
