Sixers Should Fire the Employee Who Sold Season Ticket Package to Nick Wright

For people who say they’re against gatekeeping, and that “anyone can be a fan,” I present to you the following:
“This was an extravagance, I will admit. Shoutout to the good people at the Philadelphia 76ers. It’s not a press pass. I paid retail. Now, I will say this – the home opener is a 7 p.m. tip. Consider this my notice to the great people at FOX Sports. Thursday, October 22nd might be a half day for your old buddy Nick Wright. A solid 90 minutes of First Things First. Then we’re on the expressway.”
This was something we knew we were gonna have to deal with when the Sixers signed LeBron James. His fans are following him to Philadelphia. But these people aren’t Sixers fans. They’re just LeBron fans. We’re going to be cheering for the same team this year, which is fine, but these people aren’t the same as us. They didn’t live through the Process era. They didn’t watch Rodney Carney shoot 30% from three back in 2010. They didn’t slog through the entirety of the 1990s. They didn’t suffer the quadruple doink or Ben Simmons passing the ball to Matisse Thybulle because he saw Trae Young bearing down on him.
Who the fuck is Nick Wright?
Not a Philly guy, that’s for sure. He’s a talking head based out of New York. Now he has premium Sixers seats, not far from the floor. Those seats should go to a mongrel of our choosing. Maybe Lower Bucks or Paulsboro.
Bobby from South Philly won’t be at any games this season, but Nick Wright will be there. How does that make you feel? I’m half joking and doing the irreverent Crossing Broad thing, but I’m getting legitimately annoyed the further I get into this blog. This is actually a good argument for communism and against capitalism. We should seize all of the Sixers season tickets from these New York jabronies and distribute them to blue collar Philadelphians.
Nick Wright can go pound sand. He was better when he did comedy sketches anyway:
