Sixers Sneaking up on Miami as Heat Yap at Each Other and Throw Clipboards

I’ll get something up about the Sixers game at some point today, but it’s important to note that the first-place Miami Heat are having a bit of a meltdown here.

After losing to a Philly team without James Harden and Joel Embiid, they got thumped at home on Wednesday night by a Golden State team missing Draymond Green, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson. That resulted in a sideline Heat kerfuffle with Jimmy Butler and Udonis Haslem yapping, plus an Erik Spoelstra clipboard toss:

Love Kyle Lowry trying to call a timeout there. And I can’t remember the last time Spoelstra got heated about anything. He’s always really calm, right?

Here’s what he said afterward:

Lowry, who is The Maestro’s favorite player of all time, said this:

“It’s good to sometimes get some anger and frustration out and just talk about it.”

Sixers fans will hope the Heat didn’t get the frustration entirely out, because you want this thing to linger. You want it to fucking fester. You want that team to wilt under the pressure, and then Jimmy goes nuclear and fights Udonis Haslem.  Then Lowry gives him a Rock Bottom and Spoelstra comes in with a Stone Cold Stunner and everybody is down for the count. Hopefully they did not get it out of their system.

Crazy thing is that now Miami holds only a 1.5 game lead on Milwaukee, Boston, and the Sixers. The top four is SUPER jumbled. It’s gonna make for an exciting end to the season. This league! What a league!
