Sixers to Open Season Against the Celtics

Looks like we’re getting a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals on opening night:
Sources: NBA's 2022-23 Opening Night, Oct. 18 on TNT:
– 76ers at Celtics
– And as previously reported: Lakers at Warriors— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) August 16, 2022
I’m sure Adam Silver doesn’t do the schedule, but he definitely has a say in the most important nights. For a team that is getting investigated for allegedly circumventing the cap, they’re sure putting the Sixers in the most important prime time slots.
So what gives? Did Silver realize there is no basis for his witch hunt? Do they want to honor Bill Russell against one of his rivals? Do they want Joel Embiid in more prime time games to strengthen his MVP case? Who knows? Something is up, though, and the cynic in me is sure it’s something that will end up fucking the Sixers in the end.
