Steve Nash Hopes Ben Simmons Enjoys the Booing Experience

Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash spoke after shootaround on Thursday morning:
Steve Nash on Ben Simmons being on Brooklyn’s bench at the #76ers tonight: “How many people go into an arena and get booed by the entire place? I had it done to me and I thought it was a privilege. So I hope he enjoys the experience.” #nets #sixers #nba

lol ok
Difference being, Steve Nash wasn’t booed because he quit on his team and forced his way out while having a corny agent trying to bend and twist things behind the scenes. Simmons is a big baby.
Think about Sidney Crosby, right? We boo the shit out of him because he plays for a rival team and he’s really good. He’s a pain in the ass, but Flyers fans are smart enough to know that he’s an elite player that we’d love to have on our team. Ben Simmons booing isn’t the same as Sidney Crosby booing. Or Tom Brady booing. Or Steve Nash booing. Those guys are awesome players you love to hate, while Ben is a big fraud. He earned the “privilege” of being booed because he acted like a clown.
Here’s video from ESP:
