Deep breath, Sixers fans.

The Jimmy Butler sign-and-trade with Miami is reportedly all good now, after a third team hiccup was resolved.

Per Woj:

Alright, so here’s what happened:

  1. Dallas apparently backed out of the deal because of confusion on what they were receiving from Miami
  2. Miami, in turn, sent Hassan Whiteside to Portland for Maurice Harkless and Meyers Leonard
  3. Harkless was then sent to the Clippers along with a protected 2023 first-round pick
  4. That allowed everything to match up money-wise, bringing Josh Richardson to Philly and sending Jimmy Butler to Miami on a four-year, $142 million dollar deal

There you have it. All good now.
