The Sixers vibes are on another planet right now. What a comeback last night off of a back-to-back. Even better is this video of the entire bench trolling a Wizards fan in a Jordan Poole jersey who heckled them the entire night as they were down 20 most of the game:
Look at Joel Embiid having fun man. If it takes a couple of “Suck its” and the entire team motherfucking a guy in a Wizards jersey to build team chemistry, I love it! Love the mentality too! These guys are playing like the dogs we’ve always wanted them to be! The entire city has done a complete 180 on them and it happened so fast. It’s truly amazing to watch:
I’ll be honest, I’m still not all the way bought in yet. I’m getting there like Ray Allen, but this is a good start. I’m taking a peak. Tuning into the 4th quarter and overtime. Seeing what the boys are up to. How are they jelling? What’s the bench look like? How good really is Tyrese Maxey? I’ll tell you what, they’re checking all of the boxes. So though I still have a conservative outlook on this team I’ve updated my win total projection for the season: 82-0 and winning every single award. Tell me I’m crazy:
- Tyrese Maxey – MVP
- VJ Edgecombe – Rookie of the Year
- Joel Embiid – Most Improved Player
- Adem Bona – Defensive POY
- Quentin Grimes – Sixth Man of the Year
- Nick Nurse – Coach of the Year
A clean sweep and more. Shades of the 2001 Sixers when they gobbled up all of the most important awards on their way to a Finals appearance.
