This is great news all around. The Sixers’ black jerseys are coming back this season and Crypto.com is gone:

It’s cut off in the embedded tweet, but you can see the six jerseys in the header, and here as well, in a reveal video the Sixers posted to social:

It’ll be sick to see LeBron wearing the black. And that black and red with the stars on the bottom left looks interesting. Blue/Red/Cream/Black/Black is a good crop of jerseys.

And Crypto.com was a dumb sponsor. Crypto bros are annoying. “Hey bro how much Bitcoin do you have? I’m gonna buy some NFTs with my Bitcoin!” Get a life. Hopefully we’re beyond the phase where every NBA team decided to be a vehicle for the newest Web3 bullshit. Most of us just wanted to watch basketball.

Here’s the press release that explains Bloom Energy:

PHILADELPHIA – Sept. 28, 2026 – Today, the Philadelphia 76ers and Bloom Energy, a global leader in power solutions, announced a multi-year strategic partnership, bringing together two companies embedded in the Tri-state area. Bloom Energy will become the Official Jersey Patch Partner on the team’s uniforms set to be unveiled later this morning at 76ers Media Day. This marks one of the most comprehensive and impactful patch partnership deals in the NBA.

“At the core, our brands are about making communities stronger,” said Tad Brown, CEO of HBSE and the Philadelphia 76ers. “Ahead of a highly anticipated season, we are proud to welcome Bloom Energy, a powerhouse in the region. We look forward to building a partnership grounded in shared values, community resilience and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the Greater Philadelphia area.”

Bloom Energy provides clean, reliable, and resilient power that keeps communities running. Its American-made technology has deep roots in the region, with Bloom’s second-largest manufacturing hub located just a few miles from Philadelphia in Newark, Delaware. For nearly 15 years, Bloom has been a significant employer in the region, creating high-quality manufacturing jobs, supporting workforce development, and investing in the communities where its employees live and work.

Through this partnership, Bloom Energy and the 76ers will work together on a seven-figure community investment, showcasing their shared commitment to powering the Greater Philadelphia region forward and creating lasting opportunity. As part of this, Bloom Energy will serve as a partner on several of the Philadelphia 76ers’ community initiatives including the Jr. 76ers Summer Hoops Tour, a Greater Philadelphia region court refurbishment, and joint days of service for 76ers and Bloom staff.  Bloom Energy will also be the marquee jersey sponsor for the NBA G League’s Delaware Blue Coats, who have been in Delaware since 2013.

“This partnership is about bringing together two organizations that believe stronger communities create powerful opportunities,” said KR Sridhar, Founder and CEO of Bloom Energy. “From the employees who manufacture Bloom’s fuel cells in Delaware to the fans who fill arenas across the region, our connection to the Greater Philadelphia area runs deep. Together with the 76ers, we are proud to help power communities forward and support the people and businesses that keep this region thriving.”

With more than 1,000 deployments across the United States, Bloom powers critical operations across hospitals, retailers, college campuses, data centers, manufacturers and other industries, with a customer base including many of the world’s most recognized brands.

With nearly 1,200 employees in Delaware, Bloom Energy has created opportunities in the Greater Philadelphia region for years, supporting workforce development, STEM education, veterans and first responders. The company was recently named to Newsweek’s 2026 World’s Most Trustworthy Companies list in the Energy & Utilities category.

Elevate facilitated the relationship between the Philadelphia 76ers and Bloom Energy.
