This is Proper Banter Between Joel Embiid and the Eagles

Is it okay for Philadelphia athletes to cheer for other teams?
The F Lot Crew would say no. They would try to fight you in the Lincoln Financial Field parking lots.
But would they fight 7’2″, 250 pound Joel Embiid, who was cheering for Green Bay last night?

Some people got bent out of shape over that tweet. How could Embiid cheer for the opponent? Were we betrayed?
I’m not sure what the rules of fandom are for native Cameroonians, but I’m pretty sure Joel gets a pass, since he grew up on a continent where football isn’t played. This is not your typical “Croydon Cowboy” situation, aka local front running cockroaches who pull for teams like Dallas, Golden State, and the New York Yankees.
The Eagles had some fun with Joel after the win, and then Embiid threatened to sic Mike Scott on them:

It’s excellent banter, good laughs on a Friday morning.
This is what we should be doing, just exchanging a few lighthearted jabs instead of throwing haymakers in the F Lot.
