Not a testy exchange; he’s just as annoyed as you are. He’s sick of talking about this shit. Wake us all up when the medical staff clears Joel Embiid and Paul George to play.
Not a single coach has ever enjoyed being the injury update provider. He’s just the only person who’s in front of the microphones and cameras on a regular basis, so he’s the only person to ask. Credit to him for sitting up there though. At least he didn’t pull a James Franklin and walk away from the podium to allow a PR flak to step forward and scold the assembled scribes. “We already gave you the Joel Embiid and Paul George update! If you need the statement again, let me know and I’ll get you the statement.”
As it stands, the Eagles are 5-2, the Flyers are stinking their way the early portion of rebuild year #2, and the Sixers’ are exhausting us again. It’s a football town again, until further notice.
