Tobias Harris finished Game 6 with 0 points on 0-2 shooting:

Harris hasn’t thought about whether this could be his last Sixers game, but fans certainly have, and if this was it, he went out with a bang. Zero points in 29 minutes.

He finished the series with averages of 36 minutes, 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. His best performance was Game 5, a 19-point effort in which he hit a tough elbow jumper over OG Anunoby and a couple of key free throws down the stretch. Otherwise, he was deferential, and just didn’t see a lot of the ball or demand touches. Only twice in the series did he attempt more than 10 field goals, despite a season average of 13.6 FGA and 17.2 PPG. The Sixers’ third-leading scorer in the regular season was relegated to being a 39 million dollar role player in the postseason.

That’s always been the issue. It’s less about Harris himself and more about the contract. If he was doing what he was doing for 20 million, nobody would have a problem with it. But he’s not being paid like De’Andre Hunter. He’s closer in salary to Luka Doncic and Pascal Siakam but putting up R.J. Barrett stats.

Tobias is going to be defined by that contract from now until the sun collapses and swallows the Earth. He’s a good guy and a good player, typically accountable and respectful and all of that, but the Sixers needed on court contribution from a max contract player. That contract impaired this team for a half decade.
