On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers will play host to the Phoenix Suns for Game 6 of their Western Conference Finals series.

Let’s take a closer look at the top Suns vs. Clippers Game 6 player prop picks and make some predictions for this June 30, 2021 NBA Playoffs matchup.

Suns vs. Clippers Game 6 Player Props (June 30, 2021)

The Western Conference Finals between the Suns and Clippers makes its way back to the Staples Center for Game 6 in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The Clippers pulled off a road upset against Phoenix when they desperately needed it the most to extend their season. It remains to be seen if superstar Paul George can keep up his postseason heroics and force a decisive Game 7 or if the backcourt duo of Devin Booker and Chris Paul will get the job done and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals.

Los Angeles got a ginormous performance out of their lone superstar Paul George in Game 5. PG13 scored 41 points on an absurd 15-20 from the field  to go with 13 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Reggie Jackson came up large  yet again with 23 points while big men Marcus Morris Sr. (22) and DeMarcus Cousins (15) were the remaining Clippers to score in double figures.

The Suns suffered a disappointing loss in what could have been a  series-clinching win, however they were outscored in the second half by seven points after falling behind by 10 points after the first quarter. Devin Booker rediscovered his scoring touch, going 4-6 from deep and 9-11 from the free throw line en route to 31 points. Chris Paul (22), Cameron Johnson (14), and Deandre Ayton (10) also put up double-digit points in the loss.

Will Phoenix clinch an NBA Finals berth or will the Clippers force Game 7?

Game 6 Best Bets
Jrue Holiday to Score 20+ Points (-120, BetMGM)
Devin Booker to Score 30+ Points and Make 3+ Three-Pointers (+220, FanDuel Sportsbook)
Pat Connaughton to Make Over 1.5 Three-Point Field Goals (-222, FOX Bet)

Chris Paul to Record Over 26.5 Combined Points and Assists (-186, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Suns point guard Chris Paul is just one victory away from appearing in the NBA Finals for the first time in his 16-year career. Paul was on an absolute tear as his squad wrapped up a series sweep of the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals. In fact, Paul scored at  least 21 points in three of those four contests, including 27 in Game 3 and 37 in the closeout Game 4. CP3 has a propensity for stepping up when his team needs him the most and it stands to reason he’ll come up in a big way going against his former team in a potential series-clincher at Staples Center, where he spent six seasons.

Paul has seen his point totals climb in each game since returning from the league’s Health & Safety Protocols, following up a 15-point performance in Game 3 with 18 in Game 4 and 22 in Game 5. His assist numbers have been solid as well, dishing out at least 7 in each of the three games he’s played in thus far against the Clippers.

CP3 has crossed the 26.5 combined points and assists line twice in three games against Los Angeles and three of his last four dating back to the teams’ final regular season meeting. Overall, Paul has posted at least 27 combined points and assists in six of his last seven playoff games.

Paul George and Reggie Jackson to Combine for Over 49.5 Points (-138, FOX Bet)

The Clippers’ resilience this postseason is both commendable and simultaneously infuriating for their fans, who have seen this squad fall into an 0-2 hole in each of their three playoff series. Paul George has been every bit of a superstar, especially since the loss of Kawhi Leonard, while Jackson has stepped up in a big way to fill the scoring void.

Since Kawhi Leonard has been out of the lineup, George and Jackson have racked up plenty of points:

  • Game 5 @ UTA: George 37, Jackson 22 (59 total)
  • Game 6 v. UTA: George 28, Jackson 27 (55 total)
  • Game 1 @ PHO: George 34, Jackson 24 (58 total)
  • Game 2 @ PHO: George 26, Jackson 19 (45 total)
  • Game 3 v. PHO: George 27, Jackson 23 (50 total)
  • Game 4 v. PHO: George 23, Jackson 20 (43 total)
  • Game 5 @ PHO: George 41, Jackson 23 (64 total)

The duo have combined for 50+ points in five of seven games since losing Leonard and are averaging a ridiculous 52.3 points per game over their last three contests. LA has played some of their best basketball with their backs against the wall. If they’re to have any shot of forcing Game 7, George and Jackson will need to have big games.

Deandre Ayton to Record Over 1.5 Combined Steals and Blocks (-200, BetMGM)

Deandre Ayton had been one of Phoenix’s most consistent scorers throughout the early portion of this Western Conference Finals series, however his slight downturn in scoring coincided with the return of point guard Chris Paul.

YouTube video

After averaging 22 points per game through the first two games of this series, Ayton’s points have dipped to 15.7 per game in the three contests since Paul returned. Ayton’s rebounds over that three-game stretch have also been erratic with Ayton pulling down 9, 22, and 11 boards.

If there’s been one market that  hasn’t been adversely affected by the return of Paul, it’s been Ayton’s ability to be disruptive defensively. Over Ayton’s last four games, he’s recorded over 1.5 combined steals and assists in every game, including one steal in each contest to go with 1, 2, 4, and 1 blocks in each of those contests.
