Top Picks for NFL Christmas
Here’s a look at some of our favorite picks for Thursday’s NFL slate.
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys QB: Less 273.5 passing yards
I don’t make picks based on a previous meeting between 2 teams often, but I’m making an exception for this one. Prescott absolutely torched the Commanders the last time these teams played, completing 21 of his 30 passing attempts for 264 yards and 6 touchdowns. Keep in mind though that Dallas basically ran the ball the entire second half. I think it’s going to be similar this time around – 274 passing yards is an awful lot for 3 quarters.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings WR: Less 60.5 receiving yards
Minnesota is going with Max Brosmer this week, which is not good for the Vikings. Brosmer looked great in preseason, but threw 4 interceptions in his extended minutes against the Seahawks. It’s true that Seattle has a great defense, but the Lions aren’t going to be a walk in the park either. With that said, it’s going to be tough for Brosmer to push the ball downfield in this one. Jefferson is fantastic, but he’ll be trying to hit 61 receiving yards with a hand tied behind his back.
Chris Oladokun, Kansas City Chiefs QB: Less 0.5 touchdown passes
The Chiefs are down to their 3rd string quarterback facing off against a Broncos defense that has graded out as one of the best in the NFL. He actually played fairly well against the Titans, but I’m not sure Oladokun has enough explosive potential to find the end zone or convert in the red zone with a short field.
