St. Joe’s Beat UConn on the Road

Wait, what?
Yes it’s true, the Hawk, which will never die, went up to Storrs last night and beat UConn at Gampel Pavilion.
Dan Hurley’s Huskies are a far cry from the Jim Calhoun and Kevin Ollie title-winning squads, but for St. Joe’s to get a win up there is rather significant, especially when you consider the fact that SJU was coming off a 13-point loss to Old Dominion with Billy Lange coaching his third game for the Hawks.
Ryan Daly ripped off 30 points while Hurley said this after the game:

It’s not your grandmother’s UConn.
Nice win for the Hawks, who were up 42 to 18 at one point. Looks like they’ll be fine in the post-Phil Martelli era.
