Anthony Russo Enters Transfer Portal, Deals Blow to Temple Football

Temple just completed a forgettable 1-6 football season following the cancellation of their finale against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Starting quarterback Anthony Russo, who led the Owls in 2018 and 2019, was lost to injury just three games into the season and revealed today that is entering the transfer portal:
Thank you Temple 🙏🏼🍒 pic.twitter.com/qtX46obyKb

Russo’s Temple career ends with 6,300 passing yards, 44 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions. He led the Owls to a pair of bowl games and regular season victories over Georgia Tech, Maryland (2x), and ranked Memphis and Cincy teams.
A Doylestown native and Archbishop Wood alumnus, Russo won a pair of state titles for the Vikings and tossed more TDs than I can remember in 2015. I think it was 35, which was a Catholic League record.
Big blow for the Owls, who need to find a QB.
