Michael Tannenbaum at Philly Voice writes that BB&T will no longer be the naming sponsor for the Camden concert venue, which is now called Waterfront Music Pavilion:
The former BB&T Pavilion will now have a temporary name as Live Nation seeks a new sponsor, one of several since the amphitheater opened in 1995. https://t.co/uj16xGGlk5

I welcome this news. The BB&T Pavilion never felt right. I grew up in the heyday of XTU at the Susquehanna Bank Center. Plenty reading this probably have great memories of the Vans Warped Tour and early-2000s DMB at the Tweeter Center. If you remember the Blockbuster-Sony Entertainment Music Center you’re probably on the back 9. BB&T was a mouthful. It never felt Philly enough. It probably wasn’t even 4 for 4. The next name has to pay homage to the city. Give me the Campbell Soup Center. Put Mama McNabb in concessions, scooping piping hot Chunky Sirloin Burger at a Bon Jovi show in the middle of July. Subaru’s building all over the city. What a great marketing opportunity. Lets dress that bitch in Coexist stickers. J&J slaps their name on the branding and everyone gets one free baby powder WITH asbestos per ticket. No more bank consolidation for the #2 ranked amphitheater in the world.
Kinkead: Did anybody ever stop calling it the Tweeter Center? I got kicked in the face at Ozzfest 2001 during Slipknot’s set.
