In news that should surprise absolutely nobody, Thom Brennaman was dropped from FOX’s NFL coverage after dropping a homophobic slur during Wednesday night’s Reds/Royals broadcast.

Statement:

Brennaman had been calling NFL games on and off since 1994 and was most recently paired with Chris Spielman in the booth. Right now he’s currently suspended from the Reds’ broadcasts, though there’s no official word on whether or not he’ll continue in that role. The odds on his firing have increased to -410 at our imaginary sports book in the sky.
