A BetMGM Customer Put $10,000 on the Cowboys to Win the NFC Championship Game

Our friends at BetMGM sent over some notable NFL futures bets, among them, big money wagers on the Birds, Lions, and Cowboys:
- customer 1: $55,000 to win $357,500 on Eagles +650 to win Super Bowl
- customer 2: $54,500 to win $545,000 on Lions +1000 to win Super Bowl
- customer 3: $10,000 to win $250,000 on Cowboys +2500 to win NFC Championship
$10,000 at +2500 is something else. Probably chump change for the Wall Street bro or oil tycoon who logged the bet, but you and I? $10,000 would for pay for two months of our kids’ college education!
Note that Dallas has not won the NFC Championship this millennium, and they aren’t favored to do so now. At BetMGM, there are nine teams listed ahead of the Cowboys to win the conference, among them the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Eagles are out front with a +340 number, though the highest ticket and handle percentages are going to the Lions, at 18.2 and 17.7%, respectively.
The pattern is similar for division betting. The Eagles are the favorite to win the NFC East at -145, but 30% of the tickets and 36% of the handle is coming in on the Commanders. Certainly there are people out there who think the Commanders are outright better, but they also carry more value at +220 and there has not been a repeat NFC East winner since the Eagles did it back in 2003 and 2004. So if you’re playing the trends, Commies at +220 is a good bet to make.
It’s highly doubtful that this guy wins $250,000 on the Cowboys, but if he does, that’s a lot of money to spend on US online casino and online slot games!
