Bad Bunny is Going to Rule at the Super Bowl and You’re Dumb if You Don’t Think So

Bad Bunny will be the Super Bowl 60 halftime performer and it’s going to rule. This is going to be absolute spectacle. You know why? Because Bad Bunny is a showman:
What’s my favorite Bad Bunny song you wonder? The one where he goes “coma bah eee ba dah deeeee ay!” Duh.
I know people already hate it because he sings mostly in Spanish, but people also didn’t like the guy rapping in English last year, so at this point, if you’re the NFL, you can’t win and I don’t think they care. This is the NFL we’re talking about. They don’t give a shit about their fans or the players. They don’t even give a shit about America anymore. It’s all about going global. Roger Goodell wants to have an international game every single week of the season. We’re probably a decade away from the Super Bowl being overseas. The Saudis own Madden now. You can scream into your Chinese-made iPhone and cry inside your Japanese-made car if you’re that upset. Of course they’re going to pick one of the most-streamed artists of all-time who has a global audience.
Also, getting mad at the Super Bowl halftime performer is so overrated. It’s like 20 minutes of the entire experience. By the time you load up on some buffalo chicken dip, get a beer, and check your bets and Super Bowl squares, his spot will be done. When was the last time a Super Bowl performance was geared towards a guy in his 40s from Delco anyway? Probably after Justin Timberlake popped Janet Jackson’s tit out. No one talks about that half-a-decade run of Paul McCartney, The Stones, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Prince. That run of over the hill 50 year old rockers stunk out loud. Give me Lady Gaga jumping from the top of the stadium and the Dr. Dre and Snoop riding in a bouncing Lowrider. I don’t even remember any of Kendrick Lamar’s performance from last year, partly because I was too busy stuck with my heart in my throat running through the scenarios where Patrick Mahomes comes back and the Eagles become a meme for the rest of eternity. That was the most-watched halftime show of all-time and still people were hating on it. People screaming online about this and that and the funny part is it’s not for you anymore. Entertainment has passed the olds by. By Super Bowl 64 I won’t know one song from the halftime show and that makes me sad.
But mark my words – Bad Bunny will be great. You’ll have no idea what he’s saying, but it’ll be entertaining as hell. Like listening to Lee Corso on College Gameday the last couple of years after ESPN wouldn’t force him to retire:
